Dear family and friends,
"His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love." Psalm 147:10-11
We do fear him, and we do hope in his love and throw ourselves upon his mercy. Not because of anything we had done, not because we deserved it, did Christ come to save. And now, as Eliza struggles, we put all our trust in God and his paternal Love, to which we cling in Jesus' name. And what a wonder that he delights in those who so fear and so hope. Oh, forgive us, Lord, and increase our faith.
The signs of waking are minimal, and any eyelid twitching or toe reflex may simply be the product of a seizure. The seizures have not lessened. There are a couple more spontaneous breaths per hour. Eliza is behind schedule in the waking process. This could mean that she won't fully wake while she is with us. The doctors are pessimistic. We will wait in hope. Eliza has not taken significant steps forward, but her little body continues to recover. Tomorrow brings a third MRI. We'll keep you posted on the results, but we don't expect there will be much to report.
We will rejoice in him.
Love,
dixie jax
