Eliza Update - 2/22 8pm

Dear ones,

Two quick things:

1) We have postponed Eliza's muscle biopsy. Everyone concerned in the decision had at least a slight reservation about how the stress of the surgery might affect Eliza. Since the tests on the muscle tissue won't necessarily provide any conclusive results, and since any results will take 2-3 months, this seems a sensible move.

2) Da-da got to hold an alert Eliza for an hour this afternoon. Her eyes were the most open they've been. By the way, a visit is no longer complete without a long-term hold by one of us. This has been a wonderful blessing--and good for Eliza, too, we think.

Sam is back to work at Trinity. This is a bit exhausting, but the atmosphere of love is palpable and sustaining. Daniele continues to struggle with the cold. Luke is still walking on sunshine. Nana (Daniele's mom) arrives tomorrow close on the heels of Grandma 'cinda's departure.

Our cup overflows. Praise the name of Jesus.
