Eliza Update - 3/1 6:30pm

Dear family and friends,

Eliza has had another uneventful day. The respiration technician assures us she is on the right track to get off the machine support. There is no indication that she is suffering from further seizures. Her wakefulness remains sporadic and short-lived, but she is a newborn who has been through plenty of stress.

In this waiting period, we cherish Jesus' words in chapter 12 of Luke's gospel: "Do not be afraid, little flock." And we take seriously his command: "Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning." Thank you for upholding us in prayer and in many other ways, big and small.

As you bring Eliza's name before our good God, please remember also a baby named Alexander. He has suffered from inexplicable and severe seizures since his birth in August. The seizures had lessened but have recently become extremely frequent. His parents are Vanessa and Andy. They are in
Florida. I know of this only second-hand (through Janet Ray) and so don't have details, but please join us in praying for them as they have prayed for Eliza.

Love,
dixie jax
